Vintage Revere Ware NEW REPLACEMENT Lid Cover Altered KNOB

Lid knob (details)
Material: Bakelite, brass
Includes: Bakelite knob with brass screw insert
Measurements: 1.7" (43 mm) diameter, 11/16" (17 mm) tall
Fits: All Revere Ware lids, vintage era and newer
Screw Insert Notes
Most Revere Ware lids have nice long screws on them, but some of them have a knob screw about half the height. When putting one of our new knobs onto one of the lids with the shorter screw, it will only grab a few threads. Don't overtighten the knobs or you risk stripping the threads.
We recommend that you use these "altered" knobs.
Bakelite notes
Because Bakelite is somewhat brittle, overtightening a knob can cause the Bakelite to crack.
Installation Notes
If you have difficulty getting the old lid knob off, the screw can sometimes corrode, making it extremely difficult to get off. The only way we've found to get them off in this case is to grab them with a large pair of pliers and twist. In about one of four cases, the lid screw will break off. Replacement lids can be commonly found at thrift stores (more common than the Revere Ware pots and pans).
